Stakeholder Mapping

Stakeholder mapping is a key preparatory activity used to identify the actors involved in governance, service delivery, and advocacy around return and (re)integration in each research city. This includes formal institutions as well as informal or community-based organisations operating at municipal, regional, and national levels.

All project partners begin this mapping process during the preparation phase and have and will continue to refine their maps — before and after KIIs/SSIs, and following co-creation workshops, Participatory Forums, and other engagements. This iterative approach ensures that the maps remain accurate, relevant, and grounded in the evolving insights gathered throughout the project.

These stakeholder maps guide are guiding the LLEARN Consortium in understanding who needs to be engaged, at what stage of the project, and what type of engagement is most meaningful. The mapping clarifyies roles, relationships, and levels of influence, and is helping us strengthen collaboration, support local ownership, and ensure that project activities reflect the realities and priorities of the communities and institutions involved.
